Armenia is a unique country, dating back to about 4000 B.C. It was the first state in the world to adopt Christianity as its official religion.
Armenia is landlocked, and it lies in the highlands surrounding the mountains of Ararat. Mount Ararat is a symbol of Armenia. Biblically, after the flood waters subsided, Noah’s ark landed on Mount Ararat. “And the ark rested in the seventh month on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.” Genesis 8:4
Young Life Armenia brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to kids throughout this beautiful country. Today, amid economic and political tensions, kids, more than ever before, need to know of the hope they can have in Jesus.
Current Realities
Tens of thousands of Armenians have fled to the neighboring Azerbaijan into Armenia as a result of the Armenian defeat in the long-standing war with Azerbaijan. The influx of refugees impacted the Young Life ministry in several ways, and we invite you to pray that God will use it to further His kingdom.
The video dates back to the war between the two countries in 2020, Watch it to learn more about its aftermath, and how God has been raising beauty from the ashes in that part of the world.
