“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations” Matthew 28:19 {English}
BELARUS Update
- Summer camps are full of kids hungry to hear about the hope they can have in Jesus during an extremely uncertain time for their country. Please pray for the hearts to be open, and the courage of the leaders.
- Pray for the leaders. For their endurance, boldness, and courage. They are under extreme pressure due to the political tension in the country. With the kids looking up to them for advice and wisdom, they need to be encouraged through your prayers.
About BELARUS
Since the fall of the USSR in 1991, the political environment in Belarus has been under the powerful influence of the Russian government. In many ways, the Belarus government remained loyal to the past Soviet practices, including denial of the religious establishment and keeping its people under tighter control. The Russian influence over Belarus has been especially pronounced during the most recent war between Russia and Ukraine.
Despite such a challenging environment, God has planted seeds of hope through Young Life.
Several Young Life teams have been working with youth since 2011. Their focus is simple: to bring kids back to their fathers and mothers, restore traditional families, and help establish consistency in the lives of teenagers bogged down by alcoholism, drug and sex addictions, and utter hopelessness.
They meet teenagers where they are, invite them to club and camp, and love them unconditionally. They earn the right to tell them that they are loved by our beautiful Creator, pointing them to the source of all hope – Jesus.

“I had a tough period in my life. I didn’t know how to keep living. But miraculously, I met people who opened my eyes. They helped me see the world in a different light. They inspired and encouraged me, giving me a reason to keep going. I’m so grateful.”
