Sponsor a Student

A FULL-RIDE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP​ CHANGES​ EVERYTHING

Through sponsorship,​ Developing Global Leaders (DGL)​ offers Young Life leaders in the countries of the former USSR a pathway to a future they never thought possible​ – the opportunity to go to college in their own country​ and impact their community​ with the Gospel.

Student Sponsor:

$250 PER MONTH

IS ALL IT TAKES

How it works:

1

Young Life MEA teams identify promising leaders who have what it takes to succeed in college in their own country.

2

DGL students are matched with sponsors who fund their DGL scholarships.

3

DGL students earn a college degree while serving as volunteer Young life leaders in their community.

In 2022, fifteen students graduated from the DGL Program.

Seventy-two are currently working towards earning their college or university diploma.
Ten need scholarships.

“DGL program takes you beyond relating to the teens. For college students, it’s a vital time in their lives. They are making big decisions, like learning to manage time, money, focus on their future occupation. They are also helping Young Life teens in their cities. They are possible future donors, area directors, head leaders. It’s a very important program. And it’s proven to keep the next layer of leaders in Young Life.”
