Our Work

Many countries, many cultures, one Jesus.

stirring hearts to transform nations across young life Middle Eurasia.

God is using Young Life Middle Eurasia to break the walls of atheism erected in the hearts of several generations during the Soviet era. With each Young Life club, each Campaigner group, each Young Life camp, more young lives are being transformed, replacing disbelief with belief, planting hope where there was none, and gradually changing a generation from within. Teens are hearing about Christ, receiving the gospel, and leading others to share the Good News themselves. Christ is being glorified. Clubs, weekly discipleship groups, camps, and various ministries are all instruments we use to reach teens in 13 countries and counting across the land that for almost a century denied His existence.

How we work:
We build lifelong friendships

Club

CLUB IS A PLACE TO BE WELCOMED.

If you are a teenager, you know that every week there is a group of young adults who cannot wait to see you at club. What’s a club? It is a weekly gathering of teens and leaders, best described as controlled chaos! But kids know it when they see it. It is usually held in a rented space that YL leaders spend a great deal of time and care to make feel welcoming and comfy. Kids get to play games, participate in hilarious activities, sing songs, and laugh until their stomachs hurt. At the end of each club, we share a simple message about Jesus’ love for them. After all, that’s what the celebration is all about.

Discipleship group

A DISCIPLESHIP GROUP IS A PLACE TO GROW.

We call these groups Campaigners, a name that points back to the early days when Young Life was referred to as The Young Life Campaign. It is a weekly meeting for kids who wish to learn more or grow in their faith through study, service and leadership. Young Life leaders also encourage these kids to celebrate their faith through participation in a local church.

Camp

CAMP IS A PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION.

Nine out of 10 kids remember their time at Young Life camp as the best week of their lives. And that’s not just because they get warmly welcomed, well-fed, and entertained with games that leave them covered in shaving cream or mud or paint head to toe. But also because they get to open up and hear the Gospel, sometimes for the very first time. They get to slow down, reflect on their own lives, and receive answers to their hard questions. Many meet Jesus during that week, and their lives are forever changed.

Our Ministries

Young Life High School

Known as traditional “Young Life,” this is by far our biggest ministry. But because we don’t have direct access to schools, we invite them to sports games, language clubs, concerts, hikes, etc. We get to be creative!

WYLDLife

Our middle school ministry is called WyldLife. Kids between 10 and 14 years of age get to have a blast, build friendships, and hear about Jesus. We come alongside them during a very challenging time in their lives: when they are experiencing profound emotional and physical changes. We meet them where they are and model God’s love to them by hearing their stories and honoring their God-given desire for a life of fun, adventure and purpose.

younglives

YoungLives ministry is a part of Young Life Mission that supports young women who had their babies at a very young age. Through YoungLives they receive spiritual mentoring, baby care classes, babysitting, and short retreats. Education and job counseling are also available to them, as well as ongoing parenting classes, allowing these young women the opportunity to grow in Christ and provide for their children.

capernaum

Remember a Bible story where four able-bodied men carry their friend with a disability to see Jesus? This took place in Capernaum (kuh-per-neyuhm), where Jesus’ visit quickly became the talk of the town. Moved by their bold faith, Jesus restored the man with a disability to wholeness and health. We call Young Life’s ministry with adolescents with disabilities “Capernaum,” because we don’t think intellectual or developmental limitations should keep anyone from the presence of the One who promises the fullness of life. Young Life Capernaum gives young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities the chance to experience adventure, friendship and the love of Christ.

Developing Global leaders (DGL)

Developing Global Leaders program is an opportunity to go to college or university while serving as a volunteer leader. For many, it is a pathway to a future they never thought possible. Every year, Young Life teams throughout Middle EurAsia division identify promising leaders who have what it takes to get a higher education in their native country.

College

Young Life College ministry offers a fun, accepting community for students to participate in while exploring or deepening their faith. We regularly show up in the lives of these young men and women, inviting them to events, small groups, trips and service opportunities. Some of these students even become volunteer leaders for Young Life and WyldLife. Some apply for the Developing Global Leader program.
